Chinese Character for Righteousness
The following Chinese character for "Righeousness" is a beautiful picture of Christ's atoning for our sin. It is pronounced "Yi".

Traditional character for "Righteousness"

The traditional "Yi" is composed of two simpler characters, or radicals:
one meaning "sheep" or "lamb"
the other meaning "I" or "me"

When the "Lamb" is over "me" then I am made "Righteous" in God's eyes.
The "Lamb of God" took God's righteous wrath against me upon Himself.

For this reason they are before the throne of God; and they serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne shall spread His tabernacle over them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore, neither shall the sun beat down on them, nor any heat; for the Lamb in the center of the throne shall be their shepherd, and shall guide them to springs of the water of life; and God shall wipe every tear from their eyes." (quote of the Apostle John, Revelation 7:14-17)

The Lamb of God and His blameless ones...
in the last days, on Zion's holy hill, in the hearts of His people ...
"And I looked, and behold, the Lamb was standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His name and the name of His Father written on their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder, and the voice which I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps. And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one could learn the song except the one hundred and forty-four thousand who had been purchased from the earth. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased from among men as first fruits to God and to the Lamb. And no lie was found in their mouth; they are blameless." (quote of the Apostle John, Revelation 14:1-5)

The Lamb's book of life ...
at the end of time, before the judgment seat of Jesus Christ, in the highest heaven ...
"And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire ... nothing unclean and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life." (quote of the Apostle John, Revelation 20:15; 21:27)

in eternity, the Bridegroom receives His bride, the Church ...
" "Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready." And it was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. And [one of the seven angels] said to me, "Write, 'Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.' " (quote of the Apostle John, Revelation 19:6-9)

The throne of God and of the Lamb ...
forever and ever, in the presence of the Lord God of hosts ...
"And He showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street. And on either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His bondservants shall serve Him, and they shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. And there shall no longer be any night; and they shall not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God shall illumine them; and they shall reign forever and ever."
(quote of the Apostle John, Revelation 22:1-5)
